Was this really a thing? (Furniture options in 1990's)

Hi all. I noticed this eBay listing for a "Furnishing options with Bang & Olufsen" catalog from 1990:
The Beosystem 4500 furniture looks actually pretty nice.
  But this, was this really a sanctioned B&O accessory?? Of course, it was the 1990's so I guess it was considered a good idea... 😂 Unless there is a very large opening (or fan??) on the back for air circulation, and a proper outside IR eye, this looks like such a bad idea on so many levels!

And no B&O part numbers. I agree that the wooden cabinet would be a very bad solution when it comes to keeping things cool. Haven't seen this before. Martin

Confirmed by Bang & Olufsen - it is not a Bang & Olufsen catalogue, and they never sold the products shown. Martin

Interesting! The cover page has prices in GBP so perhaps this was some kind of a local thing by some single dealer with contacts? The catalog itself and the photos look very professional and the design (manual, not products) would've fooled me.
