Help please
had my beo4 stored for 12 months without batteries. Just put new batteries in and the remote seems to be functioning. Can see signal and navigate through the menus.
but seems beosound not detecting the remote. The beosound is functioning like new, but cannot get remote to work with it,
any help please
Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
The BS9000 may be in A.OPT 0, where it will not respond to IR commands.
To resolve this:
Turn to standby/off.
On the Beo4, press the POWER button and LIST together. Then press LIST until OPTION is shown, press GO (centre button), and then press LIST to show A.OPT. Then press 1. The power light on the BS9000 may blink to show that it has been accepted.
Remote control should then work.
EDIT: By the way, A.OPT 0 is automatically selected if no speakers are connected to the BS9000

Hi
I have the same issue with a beocenter 9500 and a 5000 Remote control. No response when using the remote. Whether the speakers are connected or not.
Regards
Darren
Thank you Guy,
currently i get the code display when powered on and it remains dormant for hours and then comes to life, but as the glass panels are both lose it cant be controlled manually and seems to be on some kind a timer (it was my friends dads who has passed away) so im trying to reset it some how and bring it back to life, as its complete with original speakers turntable etc. (pic to follow once ive dusted it off)
one Query is i have 2 remote controls beolink 1000 and beolink 5000 and im wondering what models the beolink 1000 controls? Thanks Login to view image Login to view image
The BL1000 should be fine for controlling the BC9500 also. You can check that a remote is transmitting by viewing the end with an iPhone selfie camera.
If the BC9500 displays CODE, you should then use the BL1000 to press 1271 and then disconnect the Beoxenter from the mains for a minute. A frequent display of code suggests that the microprocessors backup battery needs replacing.

Thanks again Guy
did the 1000 remote come with a unit as standard? would it control a beosound 9000 i wonder?
as ive been asked but have no idea.
and is it easy to factory reset the 9500?
very grateful for your advice.
But to add to the above, if displaying CODE then the backup battery is failing (or has failed) and any timers may we’ll have been cleared anyway.
Did you try that code reset 1271 procedure?
