Beocenter 2500 to Beovision 5
6 replies
I recently moved and my Beocenter 2500 no longer is putting sound through to my Beovision 5...I haven't changed the wired (masterlink) connection. I'm sure this is an easy fix, and vaguely remember something about calling the tv the "master" and the Beocenter the "slave" but I don't remember how.
I have a Beolink 1000 and Beolink 4 if that's important to know.
Anyone remember how to do this??
Guy
Assuming that the TV and BC2500 are in the same room, and the speakers are connected to the TV (which is the most usual set-up):
With the system at stand-by, using the BL1000:
Press SOUND then 0 then STORE (to put the BC2500 in A.OPT 0)
Press PICTURE then 2 then STORE (to put the TV in V.OPT 2)
Then try to operate as before.
(Double check all your cable connections also - if your audio centre is definitely a BC2500 then there should be an extra box (Beolink Converter) between that and the TV))

Thanks Guy...I just double checked, and my sound system is a 4000, not a 2500! I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I did try the sequence that you sent me, but it didn't work.
The 4000 turns on, but not through the Beovision. I disconnected and re connected both ends of the Masterlink cable.

Awesome clear instructions, thank you! Well it's working again. The combination of "rehoming" the masterlink as well as using the Beo4 has done the trick.
Many thanks for helping me out!
