Lan connections on Theatre

I know that one of the four LAN inputs is labled for direct connection to a LG TV. Another is labeled “In”. What is that for? Is it for attaching a LAN cable from the router? If so, then are LAN labels “2 & 3” for routing  internet to other components? Thank you in advance for your help.

As you say yourself, "in" is from the router and 2/3 are for other devices - I myself have set AppleTv to 2. Just got my Theater set up myself - enjoying it every day
